Portable ladder stands

Anyone using a short ladder stand to hunt with? I was hunting an area that was very flat with tall grass and clover. I ws thinking of some kind of a portable ladder stand that I could carry on my back and put my eyes up about 6 or 7 feet would be a big help.

Summit has one called a Predator Pod. It weighs like 40 lbs. not something you want to haul around much. Others have used step ladders. Maybe jimanaz could suggest some of the search terms that could help you. I couldn't find anything addressing your question except dead links to the old forum.
 
Thank you for picking up my slack mbowerma. I typed in the word "LADDER" and 500 results were immediately returned. May have been some dead links, I didn't check them all. I also dismissed the idea of a portable type stand for the reason you cited.

My sincere appologies for not being more specific. I'll try to watch that.
 
I did the search and read a lot of posts, but didn't really find anything that helped. I may just go ahead and build a short ladder type stand that deer hunters use. I don't want something that is real tall, just something to get up above the grass.
