Potguts in Utah???

Current creek is usually is filled with potguts and campers trying to find a place to shoot with out hitting a camper is another thing. Sick let me know when you go to moab for potguts I would also love to go shoot some. I haven't got into a good shoot yet with them. too many people where I like to go. its hard to find a spot with out any one around.
 
I know this is a old post , but i have a pot gut ??? Are they temperature sensitive ?? I have a few places i hunted them this spring and into early summer , then they all up and disappeared even at first daylight , nothing .One place had thousands of them . Or do you think a plague nailed them .
 
I have notice that they are more active in the morning or in the evening. I was out camping up in current creek 2 weeks ago. I notice that from 7 am to about 10 they are out. Then they disappear then they seem to come back out about 5 or 6 untill the sun goes down. I hope this helps UtahRob

The area's i hunted there is nothing now , from sunup to sun down . I am wondering if the plague got them . ??? I guess next spring i will know for sure as one area i hunted had hundred and i did not see one last time and another area had thousands of them and i saw about 6 . I guess i need to look at the mounds of dirt and see if there has been any activity around them like fresh dirt or foot prints .
