Hello all just a quick ? if I am using 165 gr to 180 gr bullets what are some good powders to start working up reloads. Would really like to find one powder for both bullet weights if possible, targets will be N Y deer, bear and in the future Newfoundland moose..also the 8th ,9th,and 10th rounds down the barrel printed 0.919 inches with ww factory 180s silver box. Thanks Paul

My latest Lee reloading manual says for the top velocity A-XMR 4350, Reloader 19 and Accura 2700 work well for the 165 grain bullet weight and ACC Mag Pro, A-XMR 4350 and Accura 2700 give the top velocities from the 180 grain bullet.

I'd sure get a couple of new manuals that have this cartridge listed for help on loads. Cabela's has the new Lee manual for under 15 bucks. My old shooting partner bought me one a few months ago, bless his heart.

Many manuals use XMR for Accurate Powders. An example would be Sierra's 300WSM load data uses XMR4350 for AA 4350.

I load .300 WSM's for my best friend. His Winchester likes H380 with the 165 grain Partition and Accubond. Both shoot little bitty holes. (the Accubond being a touch smaller)

I load a stiff charge of H4831sc under a 168gr Barnes TSX for a bit over 3150fps, for a friend. Very deadly and very accurate. Go with the 168gr Barnes TSX and you won't need a heavier bullet.

As has been mentioned, RL19, RL22, the 4350's and 4831's should be good powders.

Has anyone tried Hodgdon Hybrid 100V. Must be new. Never heard of it before.Shows to be more than 100 ft. sec. than anything else listed for 165 gr. in 300 WSM.
