Powering off thermion

I found it. Still can't connect to the streamvision app. Im getting tired of Pulsar. Problems with the Trail led me to the Thermion. IMO they haven't made a good product since the Apex.

I’ve got an Apple phone. I turn WiFi on, on the scope. Then turn WiFi on, on the phone and select the scope. I can tell they are linked up by looking at the WiFi icon on the bottom of the screen in the scope. Once they’re hooked up, I open the streamvision app it usually works. I’ve had it not hook up if my streamvision app was open prior to linking the scope and phone together. Just what works for me.

Put your phone on airplane mode, and that can help holding a connection between an iPhone and Stream Vision as well.

It has been 5 days now after installing the FW update on my Thermion XP50...battery is still at full charge. I will check in another 5 days and see where it is at. I believe this is going to help the issue.

Last Thursday (7days ago) I charged my Thermion and updated the firmware. Before one week the external battery would be completely dead and the internal battery had started to drain.

As of today both battery indicators are showing a full charge.

I will say the firmware upgrade is definitely an improvement.

Ya, I believe the FW update is going to take care of it. I suspect this was probably the reason that in the beginning people were complaining that the batteries did not last very long on the Thermions.
These are very complicated/sophisticated pieces of electronic equipment and a lot of people get their panty's in a wad when there is a glitch or something. I know they are a lot of money and everyone would like for them to be completely hassle/issue free...but go spend $50k on a new vehicle today and see how many recall notices you get within the first 6 months...not to mention the dealer "bulletins" that you don't even know about until you take it in for service. We expect a lot for our money...I get that, but things happen. Pulsar seems to be real good about figuring out how to fix the issues and it makes it very convenient to simply do a firmware update instead of having to send it in. They are a good company...not without issues, but everything today has issues.

I’ve also gotten into the habit of turning off all unnecessary items.
WiFi is a battery drain.
Level compensation is battery drain.
Lower brightness options.
Run through all unnecessary options and shut them off.
I can get 5 hours with internal/external batteries.
I haven’t tested with my APS 3 battery yet.

I checked my battery level again today...8 days now and it is still at full charge. I think the firmware update has fixed that issue.
Zen, I never did run out of battery during last season's hunting...I always charged everything up after each hunt and usually we were out 6-7 hours at a time...always had battery life left after the hunt. I had read where some were only getting 3 hours at best...I have to wonder if they fully charged there unit and did not use it for several days and when they did go hunting the battery had already drained some from the issue expressed in this post. I have no doubt that the update has "fixed" this issue.

Just checked my Thermion again...this is now after 14 days. It did show some battery drain of approximately 15% I guess. So, it appears that it will remain at full charge for at least 10-12 days. Since I charge everything after each hunt, I believe it won't be much of an issue now if you go a few days between hunts. It would be interesting to know what actually is "on" in the scope that does put some drain on the battery.

Just checked mine. It has drained some since I last charged it fully. Only thing that bothers me is that it’s draining the internal battery. So I gotta plug the scope in before hunting. Would be nice if it was only a matter of swapping out the external battery with a full one before leaving. I will say that it does seem like a pretty slow drain. Might not make much difference at all.
