Prairie Dog or Gopher Hunting in Great Falls?

Hey guys,

I have lived in great falls for a while now, and i'm originally from chester, mt where i could go gopher hunting/PD hunting any time i wanted. Now its tough because i don't have any close spots to go living in great falls. Does anyone know a good place to go to do some shooting?
 
Do you have a BLM map? It shows all the Public land around here. Any thing in Blue you can shoot gophers.You cant drive on the land but theres butt loads of gophers this year. Get a Map from the "Forest/BLM" offices on 15th st and 11 ave No. Then just go and Look!!! The grass is getting to tall now but there still out there...
PS the only Prairie bogs near GF is at Ulm " Our people's Buffalo jump" state park and you can't shoot them there.

Glad you said it. Good common sense logical advice.....you'd think. But on this board, say "go look" and to some people that makes you a bad guy, a non-productive member of society, not nice to kids, etc etc blah blah blah. You wouldn't believe how ridiculous it can get.

thanks for the info badbrass! i will definitely go pick up a map and "go look" to find some good spots... i agree that is the way to do it. i'm not sure why everyone jumped on that so much. but regardless thanks for the info, if it ever stops raining i'll try to get out and do some plinking
