Yes we all understand (or not)the issues surrounding expensive women and fuel costs. but by gosh darn man , where is the shoot report ?????????????????? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

You are right, I forgot the bigger picture here. We went up Sunday afternoon to start the safari on Monday. Unfortunately, Monday was cloudy, cold and windy. No rats were in sight. Tuesday got better. Tuesday and Wednesday morning rendered about 900 kills for the three of us. Not super great, but it got the barrels warmed a bit. Plus, it made for a happy rancher. He agrees we should come back in two weeks and finish what we started.

Now if I can only save up enough for the fuel.

900 sounds a whole lot better than what I have seen over on the western side of the state. Good for you guys, sounds successfull to me. June 2nd the wife leaves for three weeks. Fathers day is the annual trek into the dog towns on the west side. Who knows where I could end up after fathers day. Found an article in an old mag that listed three large loops to hunt. May have to get the map out /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Thanks for the report. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

I go with two brothers from South East Iowa. They are very well off. They let me go along free because they enjoy my company so much.
