Wind up here in Western NY has been brutal. Been over 15mph almost the last two weeks, some nights dropping to low single digits. But, Saturday night, weather was perfect. Under 10 degrees, 0-5mph winds, so a buddy and I headed out. First three sets in his spots, blanks. 4th set, walk in corn field, see about 10 deer, scan right and there was a bedded 'yote. He dropped the sticks and popped a shot at about 200yds. Hit it, tracked him for about15 min and lost him in the thick shit, so called it. Struck out next set. Headed to a new area for me, owner says dogs have been around. Set up the call, hit it and 30 seconds later we whack a 38# guy when he was 10yds from the call. Went and grabbed him and noticed a second set of tracks....guess we didn't see the second one, oops. My buddy went home, and I wanted one last set. Hit the call, 15 minutes later two show up, popped the bigger one at about 50 yds (vid) weighing in at 42#. One of out better days, 2/3 on 6 sets.

First time using 62 EDL-VT in 22 ARC. First dog had an exit of about 1", so not much pelt damage. Broadside shot, little behind where I hoped to hit him, but was able to find him about 150 yds away. Video was flop and went 10 ft, but the exit......I was able to put my fist through.....not sure if it was the exit angle or what. Hope to hit a few more with this bullet before switching if pelt damage is more than ideal.
