Pred Sniper Stix or other suggestions?

I have 3 sets of the Predator Sniper Styx.

The company that made them went out of business supposedly.....

I now have 2 sets:-( the rubber piece broke on one set this weekend in the frigid cold.

I may need to look into the Stoney Point sticks for back up.

I've had my Stoney point explorers for 3 years and really like them. The BOG bipod and tripod look like really good quality but I've never used them.

Check out Browning MOA sticks. I had the predator sniper Styx until my little boy destroyed them. I couldn't find any new ones and stumbled on the Browning. They are pretty much the same thing.

im not 5$ deep in the ones I made and I don't leave home with out them two wooden dowls cut at an angle rubber band taadaa steady as a rock and you free for a quick swing move

I have the Predator Snyper styx and like them a lot. If I had to replace them I would go for the Bogpod bipod. They are a little pricey, but well worth it in my opinion.

I have 4 sets of the Sniper styx and love them. I went and found a few spare set when I could still get them when I heard they went out of business. I will be getting the browning ones if I ever need more. I had the Stoney point and thought they were ok, but seemed to be weaker and my heavy gun seemed to make them bow pretty good.

Go to tractor supply and buy 2 fiberglass electric fence stakes. and a bag of castration bands. The sticks are already sharp on one end. Use 3 of the castration bands for your pivot point. Ive been using mine for 2 yrs now and love them. The are already grey in color and not shiny. You cant beat the price either about 5 bucks. The poles are about 4' long and about 1/2" thick and are very sturdy.

2 lightweight camo aluminum arrow shafts, a piece of rubber tubing and 3 castration bands. They work GREAT! They are cheap and easy to make. I use them for my rifles, my slug gun and my hand gun. I never go in the field w/o them.

I have the stoney point crusader sticks and like them the best for sitting. I had a set of predator snyper sticks and liked them too, but like the stoney points better. You can usually get them from opticsplanet or amazon for about $40 and free shipping.

Looks like maybe the crusader sticks I have are not called explorer. Mine are the shorter ones, not the stand up lenght.

I hope to get a set of Bog-pod tall tripod sticks by Christmas for use when night hunting.

I'm a big fan of Primos Trigger Sticks, but the vast majority of my stands are made standing or sitting on my dove bucket to see above the brush. I rarely sit directly on the ground when calling any more.

Don't want to jack the thread but why does it seem that more people use sticks versus a swivel bipod I have a vanguard swivel bipod that I can swing about any direction including up and down its adjustable from 17"-37" I can use it sitting on ground up to sitting in chair

I myself tried bipods (Harris/Caldwell) that mount on the stock but I found I didn't like dealing with them on the gun and it seems quicker/easier to me to use sticks. I traded/sold my bipods and just use my home made sticks with the rubber tubing that the gun rests in and they work great for being able to swing/swivel the gun and if I want them lower/higher I just either lean forward or backward.

Where do you get the rubber tubing?
