Predato hunting rifle weight?

I ain't lying, I have never even seen a 13 lb rifle set up except maybe on tv. Different strokes for different folks.

I like to shoot heavy rifles. I prefer to carry light rifles. Some of the terrain here is straight up. Some is steeper than that.

My Ambush Firearms AR15 weights about 7.4 lbs according to the literature from AF. I would assume that this is unloaded and without all the accessories installed on the rifle such as the three extra 3" long Picatinny rail sections. But when I add my Optics and a 10 round magazine of 5.56 ammo along with the rails and a small Wicked Light to the rifle it probably gets up to around 10 lbs +. Add a sling and it's not so bad to carry in the field if you are a young man. Which I'm not anymore. So light weight is important to me these days. I'm 64 and too old and heavy to be hauling around a heavy barreled rifle.
