Predator Masters Donation Request Letter

The following E-mail was sent to the Advertisers and Hand Call Hobbyist call makers on Predator Masters, I’d like to extend the same offer to the general membership. For several years the general membership has donated to Predator Masters for door prizes drawings or auctions. Predator Masters depends on the funds generated at the Globe hunt to pay board expenses. You participation is greatly appreciated, but participation is strictly voluntary.

Dear Friends,
As many of you know Predator Masters (PM) is quickly closing in on the 6th annual Globe Hunt. My how the time seems to fly, I remember the day I got my first E-mail from Will Craig announcing his vision of an site dedicated to predator hunting. Will was excited by the prospect of having a website that was a little different, he wanted all predator hunters to have an internet site to call their home, he wanted a friendly place, a place they could call their own. At the time money would be no problem, server costs were minimal and Will had an up and coming corporate sponsor that was excited by Will's dream. We got off on a high note, everything was going well with PM, then the worst happened, almost over night Will went from a dynamic predator hunter to a man struggling with terminal cancer. Within the year cancer took Will from us. We had the first Globe, Arizona hunt that year. We planned to gather as predator hunters to celebrate Will in his home town. It was amazing, people from all over the country showed up and donated items, then bought door prize tickets to help support PM
The next year was a hard one for PM, our corporate sponsor moved on, leaving the money donated from the Globe Hunt, it was barely enough to keep us going. Membership quickly doubled, then doubled again, six busy years later we show well over 15,500 members. The stats have been amazing, in November 2005 PM had 12 million information hits, in November 2006 there were over 14.5 million hits. "Will's Dream" is still alive and well. But after all these years one thing is still constant, PM still depends on the proceeds generated by the annual Globe Hunt to survive.
We appreciate all the Sponsors, Advertisers and Hobby Call Makers showing support and confidence in Predator masters. Your advertising dollars has gone a long ways toward helping Predator Masters move forward, but we are still in the position where door prize ticket sales and auction proceeds taken in at the Globe Hunt are our number one source of revenue. To a large degree it's your donations to Predator Masters that will keep Predator Masters operating for another year. If you'd like to donate to Predator Masters please to send your items to:

Now is the time and opportunity to step up and offer what you have . /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif.

I am talking the everyday general member here. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

Feel free to donate to this as anything that you can donate will be gladly accepted. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif.

The items can be anything that one would use for hunting.

From calls to shooting sticks and anywhere in between..

All we ask is that you remember that some of these door prizes may have to be mailed and shipped so we ask that you take into consideration what you donate and how much it weighs..

While that new 30 gun safe would be a great idea, it might cost a wee to much to ship /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif lol.

Thank you for your time and effort...... James L.

I'm really considering it. There are several folks I'd like to meet. I've been wanting to come down for a long time.

I talked to the boss last night. Finances aren't there for me to come. But, as in other years, I'll definately be thinking of all you guys.

Watson and I will send a box of VHS copies of Hunting the Night Shift. Maybe you can use them as placemats or something. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Well POOP! That makes 3 guys that I wanted to see at Globe not making it. Tony Tebbe, Jeff Holly and now Randy Buker. Grrrrr........ To top it off, I think that Arky Joe Bradshaw may miss it too. That would make 4 fine folks that I'll miss. I hope there aren't any more disappointments.

I have a set of like new stoney point shooting sticks that I dont use, that I would like to donate so that someone may get some use out of. These are like brand new. If that is ok I will ship on Monday.
Frank
