Which head stamp 223/5.56 brass do you guys prefer for reloading ? Is LC the best or are the other ones just as good ?

If I could, I would use Lapua for everything, but since I'm not made out of money, and they don't make it in everything that I shoot. Here is my top 5

1. Lapua
2. LC
3. Norma, although sometimes they can be hit and miss.
4. Winchester
5. Remington

These are what I use and are GTG since the 70s to now.
LC/WCC/IMI/RP/WIN/PVI/Norma/Hornady/FC/MAL/FED match/PMC/
Heck everything I have listed and more that I cant recall have been loaded 30x minimum.
Failures always on FC/Hornady brass though, not my favorites but I take what I can get when its free!

My absolute favorite head stamp is..............What ever I find lying around at the range that no one is picking up. Can't beat the price and can't tell the difference. I don't care for PMC, S&B, or PPU (tight pockets) But I will shoot them.''

I agree except I choose Remington over Winchester I made this decision last night I have 200 new Winchester cases but my 26.5 grains of H4895 will not fit and I squash the bullets when trying to seat them but that load fits fine in both LC and Remington brass!!!

With things the way the are now, I will shot anything I get ahold of. But I shoot mainly LC. For no reason I just try to load one headstamp for accuracy on hunting rounds. Pinking I load anything...Jason

For those that don't like Hornady and Federal brass - have you had issues with all of it, or just with the 223?

I have a bunch of Hornady, and a decent amount of Federal 300 WM brass, but haven't reloaded much of it yet. Wondering if I would be better off getting rid of that for something different!

I have had a lot of Hornady brass split in the neck/shoulder area. It is the only brand brass that does this to me...Jason

JD Ditto on that. Hard to beat the price!
