I recently started reloading for my 6.5 Creedmoor. I've found a load that is consistently shooting in the .3's however I'm getting a very slight ejector mark.
6.5 Creedmoor
140 Berger Hybrid Targets
41.0 Gr H4350
2.82 COAL
Peterson Brass
Velocity is very consistent...2685 with less than 10FPS max spread.
The book max for these that I see is 41.5GR...so I'm half a grain under. Bolt lift was fine...maybe slightly stiff but I only noticed it on 1 shot out of the 20 or so I fired. The primers looked fine, no cratering. (pic below is after I resized them).
Should I be concerned with using this load? Certainly won't go up from here...but with this velocity and being 0.5 grains below book max...just surprised to see a mark.
