Preymaster sound question

it's a howl that works on both coyotes and wolves I'm guessing. I use the coywolf and the coyote locator at the same time, then also me and my dad howl and bark on hand calls for locating coyotes. I'm sure now would be a good time for the coywolf as it's been mating season and dad will need to protect mom and her pups from invaders into thier territory. Right now I'm kinda hangin back from shootin coyotes so the pups can grow up to be shot later. But I do have access to a 566 acre cattle ranch area that needs the coyotes kept away.

This is a partial copy of the reply G.S. gave to that very question a year or so back , I would just post a link but I cant get it to work for me.....
I called that a Coywolf because it is a coyote/wolf Hybrid that was a pet in our local zoo back in the 60's. There may be a more technically correct name but I realized soon after it was introduced that some confuse that name with Coydog which involves domestic canines.

I remember as a child holding on to him as we drove in the pickup. He was pretty rank but real friendly. When you would tie him up and move away from him he would start making those howls until someone came back to be with him.

Dad never tested the sound for being used as a call or locator sound. I did in the late 90's and found that it would attract in some cases and cause territorial responses in others. Some will simply answer it.
