Ouch. That is discouraging. The last Varget I purchased was a little over a year ago for $24 and I thought that was high. I currently have 4 lbs on hand. I am trying to make it last.
If only we knew when/where Hodgdon was sending their shipments too, we could be waiting. $37 is extremely high, at that price I'd be looking for another powder to hold me over, or go without.
I bought a pound of Varget for $37. I was getting 2 1/2 groups at 300 yards with my 308. I went back to buy one more pound. They sold the other 4 pounds the day after I bought mine for $37 each. That makes it the new price for around here.

I have a pound that is about 4 years old that still has a price sticker on it for $22.95....Considering the gouging and scalping that has happened to prices lately, I would still consider $37 as unreasonable, especially when I found some W-748 within the last month at only $1 higher than I had been paying about the time I bought the Varget....
I know this sounds stupid but what's an extra $10 in the grand scheme at least you'll be out shooting I bought some from Natchez about a month ago or so and ouch I wish they would have kissed me first but I was completely out and that's what I needed so I guess they saw a sucker coming.
Devildog:: have to agree ... This is the life ( sport ) we have chosen .. It sucks when we get gouged but the Yote, target we hit with the components that we have purchased regardless of the price tag IS priceless !!! Get it, Load it, Shoot it!!!!
