btomlin - No you did NOT waste your money! That Regulator 10 is a very effective 'yote caller. It really is one of my favorite calls. It will call bobcats and fox also.
Primos may not be the most popular call around, but will get the job done nicely!!
I like the Regulator 10 also. But I am haveing a hard time finding replacment reeds. It also makes a good female howler if you put a funnel or horn at the end of it.
I also like the regulator 10 and have called several coyotes and a few bobcats with it but for some reason I have not called up anything with the #14 even though it sounds better to me, shows what I know. Money well spent in my opinion.
I've had some success with the reg 10 also. My problem is I have trouble getting too much moisture on the reed and it closes down and I can't be consistent. This happens with all my open reed calls. Any help out there from some open reed callers?
That is my favorite call the regulator 14. I have called over a hundred that I have seen in Indiana in the last three years and that is awsome for Indiana.Aint used the 10 much dont have a need to the 14 works to good. Best money u will ever spend for yote hunting. Let us know how it works.
The regulator 10 was my first call and I must say that it was the easiest open reed call to use. I have had good success with it-- howling, rabbit and kiyi's all work good on it.
