Problems with powering up CS24C-- any suggestions??

I opened my CS24C yesterday, added brand new batteries to the caller and remote. Remote powered up fine and looks to be functioning normal. However, when I turn the caller on, the light comes on for about 3 seconds, blinks a couple times and then turns off. I tried different batteries, changing the channel, and checked wires. Any other thoughts before I call Foxpro??

Spin the batteries in the holder in case there is any corrosion on the contacts. Check to make sure ALL the batteries are good. I don't use rechargeables and have three battery packs in the truck loaded with fresh alkalines batteries, but i go hunting for sometimes a month without having a place to charge batteries, it's hard enough keeping my phone and pad charged. I'm seriously thinking about a solar panel for the van.

Thanks for the response. I talked with FoxPro today and they want me take the bell housing off and connect the caller to my computer, which sounds easy enough. This will tell them if it can be fixed without sending it in. I will do this early next week and see what happens. The gentleman I talked with at FoxPro was friendly and seemed to think it could be fixed. I guess we will see??

Basically, you will be taking the same steps you take to hook up to your computer and add or move sounds. I hope they can get you squared away.

After talking with FoxPro customer service, who were great by the way. I was using brand new energizer ultimate lithium batteries. They had me try a completely different brand of battery and it worked. I even tried the lithium's in something else and they worked, so I'm not sure why they won't work in my caller, but the caller is working. Thanks for all your suggestion!!!

Theres a dip switch that needs to be set to lithium if that's what your going to use aswell. Did they mention that?

Its always a good idea to have an extra battery carrier. I think they are five bucks or something like that. Sometimes the springs break or have other contact issues that will cause some funky things to happen with a caller.
