Programming your homemade sounds into foxpro

This is a two part question.

First, I used my camcorder to record the sounds I wanted but had to have someone else take the sound from the video and format it to MP3. Can anyone suggest a program to buy so I can do it myself?

Second, when I put the sound into the foxpro, it either labels it as MP3 or leaves the slot on the remote blank. That is fine if we only ever have this one sound that is like that, but we want to do a few more. How do I get the name of the file to show up on the remote?

Thank you in advance for any help!

Can't help you out with the first question but once you do get it converted to mp3 it can be named whatever you'd like. As long as you use the Foxpro utility it will automatically put it at the end of your list in the caller and add the appropriate number in front of it. Whatever you named the file should show up on the remote up to a certain amount of characters after you download the list from the caller to the remote. This is on a scorpion so not sure which one you have.

ajneal30: You must number any sounds you put on the Foxpro ecaller 000, 001, 002, etc. with a space between the 3 digits and the name of the sound. You can name it to suit yourself up to 17 letters. There are any number of free file conversion utilities available. Audacity, Goldwave, and Sound Forge come to mind.

possumal,
I can use audacity to convert it once I get it off the video, the problem is seperating the video from the audio. I will number the file next time I mess with the call. Thanks.
