Pros and Cons to .223 wylde

Thanks ICU I had the thought that the barrels would be alot more than that, Steve the reason I want a higher end BCG set up is because this particular AR has problems with some jamming and failure to eject and I was thinking maybe that would help solve that

I'd have a look at Black Hole Weaponry barrels. They have polygonal rifling which is a breeze to clean, and they usually see higher velocities than a traditionally rifled barrel with the same load. On top of that they really put em together downrange.

I built an AR with the Wylde clambering with a Wilson barrel and a CMC Trigger and it is awesome. 55gr soft point ammo will shoot 3/4" group at 100yds all day

Likely a gas issue or gas/mag issue. check for mis aligned gas block, leaking gas block or loose gas key or even bad gas rings.

Quote:Since you state you have the Wylde chamber we can only assume you are referring to RRA? In that case you have a 9" twist

Rock River has as many 1:8 Wylde barrels as 1:9

Palmetto State also has Wylde barrels with 1:8 twist

sometimes putting a milspec oring in the extractor helps function a lot. there is probly something else casuing problem, but sometimes an oring can get you by. I will mail you a couple for free if you want. I use them on all my guns for improved function in less than ideal situations.
