Pulsar pixel repair. Anyone have this work?

I have a Pulsar XP50 and Helion XP28. Have not been able to fix any of the pixels with their on board repair method. Any one have any luck with this? The one is fairly annoying on the 28 as it is pretty much dead center and is of course the brightest of 4 or 5 of them.
 
On my apex xq38 i often have to repair several pixels around the dead one in order to get the dead one. I know this doesnt make sense but its the only way i cant get some of them repaired. On the other hand i do have about 6 pixels that will not repair no matter what. Iirc, i read somewhere on Pulsars site or in the manual that it is common to have some permantely dead pixels with their units and they allow that and expect it.

Thanks, will try that. I know to expect some you can't repair but I have not been able to do any and the one in the middle of the 28 is a little annoying at times. Looks like a possible "bogey" at times when I'm scanning quickly.
 
I couldn't repair mine by myself but when I sent it in for a non-pixel related issue they fixed it for me. Sending yours in might be an option.
