Just seeing how she looks. Just got it yesterday. Videoed my 5yr old. Mounted on a tripod/not a gun. I have to say the image is really incredible for 384 core and I'd say they is approximately 20-25% lose in what is recorded vs what you see in the viewfinder. No sound, which sucks really.

Received trail xq50 today as well as a helion xq30f. The phone app is absolutely amazing. You can control every aspect of the scope with the app. Including all settings and recordings. Was very dissapointed not to have sound even though original reports were no sound and I was fine with that the later rumors that final units would have sound got me excited. So far I've spent the last couple hours watching the dogs run around the yard while switching between units. Impressed for sure.

So is the no sound due to software or there being no mic? I heard rumors that it'd be fixed later with a software update.

Probably one of the many rumors floating around.

I think I found where the mic might be. Rear left side underneath. Look like a mic opening with two small gills.

Updated my helion through the phone app. Pretty sweet it downloads the updates and installs them wireless. Effortless simple system. Was hoping it was a sound update but still no luck. It would be great to have solid info on this and not just rumors and false hopes.

Just contacted pulsar suport regarding the possibility of sound comin via update at a later date. Both units seem to have built in mic holes and sound recorder is listed in the specifications on the pulsar website. I will foward any response I recieve.
Specifications

Video / sound recorder: integrated

Great! I zeroed on my 22lr at 50. Set up a new profile for the 223. Zeroed it, then put it back on the 22 and its dead balls on. Cool. No glitches in the scope at all. The Stream app won't send videos via test like it should, at least not on an IPhone because it doesn't support the AVI format I guess. It will text pics just fine. My only gripe would be that they figure out a way to have the recorded video to look like what you see in the viewfinder. Once the sound is added it will be near perfect. Great thermal!

Sounds like progress. What is the Pulsar video recorded in? I guess I could look it up, but I am lazy!

I know IRD MKII is 480p. Sucks for days...

PS: There is a guy on FB who has sound on his OR he recorded it separately and spliced it perfectly.

Here is the response directly from pulsar regarding my questions about a sound update.

Dear Mr -----

Thank you for contacting us.

These units will be capable of sound recording later this year. We will release software update regarding this
