For real! The NRA does nothing and apparently the rest of the country doesn't even pay attention because California is just full of liberals and yuppies anyways. It's a sad time to be a Californian...probably getting worse now that there's the most anti-gun governor you could imagine and a state Congress with a Democratic super majority

Ugh... I cannot look at the User-Car-Salesman of Gavin "Gruesome" without picturing a Bright red Bullseye plastered on his forehead. Him and FeinStein and Brown. And for the life of me... I can't understand how 3 people, of Jewish descent mind you, would want to follow in the footsteps of Adolf slowly but surely taking guns away from the people. Did they NOT learn their lesson on that one? Boy! They sure do seem to be big on passing down their cultural history in all other regards. Amazing how that thought seems to escape them, doncha think?

I've shot bobcats inside of 50 yards with a .223 and I've never gotten more than a nickel sized exit. Never an exit with a shot to the upper neck or chest. If your plans for this bobcat is a full body mount I wouldn't worry too much as far as blowing a hole in it. As long as it's not missing body parts a taxidermist can most likely fix it.

Although I'd agree that steel shot definitely isn't the #1 choice out there don't let that discourage you from taking it if that's all you have. You'd be surprised just how effective a shotgun can be if you're hitting vitals. An aggressive 75 pound dog that tried to bite a child found that out the hard way not all that long ago. He saw me and wanted to come get some. He got 3 loads of 2 3/4" 7 1/2 shot out of a 20 gauge in the head, neck and ribs at 35 yards when he turned to come chomp on me. He ran about 60 yards and went bye, bye. Just to clarify,I'm not a mean spirited person that walks around shooting dogs. If I was planning on doing anything but scaring that dog away I'd have brought something that put out a little more heat than that. Around here the cops don't do house calls for animals. And I don't fool with mean animals,I deal with mean animals. You can get a lot done with a little gun if you shoot stuff in the face.

OH alright... it's been awhile since I took out the AR anyway now that he's got a nice 50mm objective for those low-light romantic encounters as sun set

We'll see how those DRT 55gr Compressed Frangibles do.

I suppose next time I'll do it with the .17 HMR, just to say that I did. That thing is like a laser beam! Last time out hit an old 12ga shotshell at 80yds..piece of cake!

LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing bunnies do backflips after they get popped with the HMR!

I use the hevi-shot goose #2 for cats and it puts them down with authority. Headshots. Stupid laws here in Mass.

I sure hope I can see him earlier this year. I have to imagine if I stood up again this year and he was there at 10yds... such a load would turn him into ground burger, no?

Not at all, I got one at 10 yards with #2 and you couldn't even tell it got shot. same with coyotes.

Shotgun is by far the most fur friendly. Maybe not if your selling the fur.

What exactly can the NRA do when it is up to the states and their legislatures? The NRA files lawsuits that the liberal judges throw out. The Commiefornia legislature ignores the Consitution, so what are the "other states" supposed to do for Californians?

We feel for our friends and fellow hunters but other states can't do anything to force California to rejoin the union and follow the Constitution. It is up to Californians to band together and vote out the gun and hunter hating politicians who are inflicting this pain onto our predator hunting brothers and sisters. It is sad to watch.

I just hope it doesn't spread like other diseases.

You're right. The 9th circuit is another level of liberal government that stamps and seals it all. I wish Trump would have somehow disbanded the 9th circuit like he was talking about. We will never outnumber the millions of libs in San Francisco and LA. The NRA could challenge it in the supreme court though...

California lawful gun owners, I too, feel your pain, but
everyone expects the NRA to be the do all end all; to tie up all of their personal problems/beliefs in a neat little package, tied with a big red bow.Face it, NRA cannot satisfy everyone, no matter how hard they try.

9th Circuit is the most liberal cabal (Want a smile? google cabal synonyms....absolute perfect fit) in the US and their decisions are overturned more than ANY other US Circuit court with good reason. Unfortunately, no plaintiff/defendant can file a case with the supreme court.....the supreme court chooses the cases they wish to consider; all cases must work their way up through circuit courts first.

Sorry, CA, you are the only ones that can work your way out of the mess previous CA citizens have gotten you into. Unfortunately, it would have been a lot easier to prevent the mess in the first place than to overcome it now.******Just one of life's truths that the rest of us MUST learn from.****** "But where do we start?", you say. Well, JMO, but maybe by joining NRA , rather than criticizing them (us; Benefactor member).

OK, rant off, soap box stowed, steel pot on.....carry on.

back to shotguns. this ^^^^^^ made me go, "huh"?.

in my experience fur buyers love shotgun killed fur. they mostly think the fur was trapped. i just let em keep on thinking that.

Since liberalism is being taught in most of the grammar schools, high schools and collages in this country liberalism is spreading.

In California the big cities control the whole state of California when it is time to vote for anything.

Our Kern County Supervisor said at a big Sportsman dinner, the only thing wrong with Kern County is, it is surrounded by California.
