One of the most wandering POS going. They are a total crapshoot, and even the "good ones" aren't very impressive optically. Plus, good luck if it needs repair.
Save your money and buy a Leupold. You can find Model 8 2x and 4Xs for under $200. See them fairly often. They take a BEATING like no other IMO. And should one need repair, it happens fast and easy.
I started out with 2X Leupys. Then went to 4X. Then to several variables including Weaver, Bushnell, Leupold. My buds owned a couple Simmons and a Nikon.
All I can say, is it took me longer than it should have to figure out the concessions I was making each time I moved up in power, or to a "lesser" scope than the Leupold. Eye relief, eyebox, FOV, wandering reticles, unreliable adjustments, everything suffered.
If you must buy a variable, I highly suggest a Leuopld for anything that kicks much. Burris aren't horrible. Their handgun scopes may be better than their riflescopes. But I have had some bad experiences with Burris in the past so the 2 I still own will probably remain the only 2 I ever own.
If it must be a variable and cost is a factor, the Bushnell Trophy 2-6x32 would be my recommendation.
I'm curious as to what handgun this is for. Please do tell.
Anyhoo, for big-bores, I have gone back to my old Leupold 2X ways, and am happy I did.........
