Question on flow through’s

Now that I can take one home the same day I’m in the market for another can. I already have an ultra 7 and a nomad ti xc. My question is are the flow through cans that much better on ar’s? Sound suppression won’t be what a stacked baffle is but does enough gas leave the front that that the cases in my mag won’t look like they have power residue all over?

I run a Nomad Ti on all my AR's, & don't get a face full, but the top couple rounds on top of the mag get hosed.

I think they get shitty regardless of can.

Only flow thru can i have is a flow22, but it is a very noticeable difference on my fn 502 from my sparrow. After the sparrow, i had to clean my glasses from all of the back pressure. I could feel debris hitting me in the face as it cycled the next round. With the hux, nothing. I plan on putting a rds on and the flow22 will deff make a difference in how long it stays clean. Sound wasnt noticably different between the two tho, just the back pressure.

I have an older OSS 7.62 suppressor. It is noticeably louder than my other 9-ish inch cans, but not having the entire receiver and BCG caked with crap after like 10 shots is a welcome tradeoff. I think the newer OSS / HUX cans are quite a bit quieter.

I bought a Huxwrk flow thru for my 6X6.8 last fall and noticed a huge difference. On a cold night when I had a lot of action (say a 4 or 5 dog night over bait) some times the last chambered round could not be extracted by hand at the end of the hunt because of the corrosion in the chamber and had to be shot out. I had even got where I would dump the mag after the shot so the gas wouldn’t tarnish the rounds in it. All be it I think some of my problem was the powder, I think XBR 8208 is worse than other powders, but that’s what the gun likes. That being said, I won’t be running anything but flow thru on my ARs from now on. I just bought a dedicated 6mm Thunder Beast Spiro for my new 6 Max project.

My last can was the Ecocore 30 cal titanium, I now run it on all my ar's and it definitely makes a difference, and seems as quiet as my old Sico harvester so I'm happy with it. What I've noticed with larger cartridges with the baffle cans I have, is the first shot isn't too bad but the back pressure builds for a 2nd and 3rd shot fired in fairly quick succession, like when firing a group. With the Ecocore, that's no longer the case.

And yes flowj, I love 8208 but it's terrible for staining. I even had a couple times in my 6x6.8 on somewhat damp nights where a glob of goo built up in the shoulder area of the chamber where a round wouldn't even chamber until cleaned. That was years ago and I never did figure out what was going on.

A follow up on the Thunder Beast Spiro. Holy cow, it’s awesome. It dumps a lot of gas. I run superlative arms gas blocks on my ARs. Backed all the way out with the Huxwrks the gun still cycles and locks back on empty. With the Spiro it short strokes. I had to turn the gas block in 5 turns to give the gun enough gas to function. I think I’ve found my go to suppressor!
