Question on my Burris Fullfield II and eyepiece focus

Today I received my new Burris Fullfield II 4.5-14x42 scope. I adjusted the eyepiece to get the reticle in focus, then began rotating the power ring to check it out further. I noticed the entire eyepiece rotated as I rotated the power ring - which 'undid' some of the eyepiece focus I had just made. I checked online and think this is a feature and they call it European-style quick focus. Ehhh, seems weird. None of my other scopes work this way. Am I going to have issues keeping the eyepiece focus where I want it?

I think this was the biggest problem that people had with the FFII.... The new FF E1 solved the issue.

Personally it wasnt a big deal to me because I just left mine screwed in all the way and it was in focus!

The only way it could have "undid" the eyepiece focus is if you gripped the end of the fast focus piece as you twisted to change magnification. You weren't holding the fast focus ring with one hand and twisting the magnification up at the same time were you? Of course that is going to change the focus. Or, if you just grab the end of the ocular housing and twist for magnification you will probably inadvertently change the focus.

I have several of the Burris FFII scoopes and have never had a problem with the focus ring moving. It moves with the housing unless you hold it.

It also moves as one rotates the power ring through the range of adjustment (4.5 - 14x). That's the part that seems odd to me.

The power ring, the housing and focus ring do all move together. I have never had a problem with it not being focused as I moved through the power settings, I own 5 of the scopes in 3-9 and 4.5-14. I took your post as saying the focus ring came undone as you turned the power ring.

It moves as the ocular rotates, but it doesn't change focus as you stated in the first post unless you do something specifically to cause that.

The fast focus ring will not move when you change magnifications. Set where you need it (typically half way out) and you should be fine after that.
