question on shipping ammo?

I have shipped loaded ammo before with FEDEX , no problem,
I was told it is ok to ship by it's self, You cant ship ammo in a package with a Firearm has to be seperate Package.
Good luck hope this helps, I would be sure & Package very well so the Ammo doesnt bang around so to speak. HA

Yup, and you can print the ORM-D stickers right off the internet. UPS will accept your ammo no problem.

Shipped thousands of rounds.

I've shipped ammo by UPS quite a few times with no issues. The first time I walked in with ammo packed in a plain box, the clerk just asked me to write "ORM-D small arms cartridges" on all 4 sides of the boxes with a sharpie.

When I shipped with FEDEX didnt have to write anything on box & the Charges were cheaper than UPS. UPS wouldn't let me Ship from a satellite office was told to take to Main Shipping Hub That had only two hours open to ship Packages.
I will use FEDEX for Ammo & firearms shipping from now on.
which works for me. Bman

At one time we were shipping 5000-10000 rounds per day. All with UPS. Fed-Ex in our area is unreliable. UPS will come right to your door and pick it up. Just put the ORM-D label on a couple sides of the box. Fed-Ex does also require the ORM-D label as this is a DOT requirement.

+1
That's the problem I have here. Being Grayling is a small town, we only have a UPS satellite office and they won't accept ammo for shipment. Fed EX, no problem.

yeah fed ex is unreliable i only see the brown truck around here since we have a ups wharehouse station close by....they wouldent let me ship gun powder one time and it messed up this whole deal with a guy and a reloader i was selling....thena buddy of mine shipped a reloader with a 5 pound jug of powder and never told and they never said anything!

most "satellite" offices are franchises. It is MUCH easier to go online set up a UPS account and ship from your front door. It is also free (almost free, they charge a pickup fee of a couple dollars depending on how far ahead you let them know of the pickup). This way, you can ship firearms or ammo or hazzmat the legal way.
