If you are looking for the most efficient, most reliable, knock em down/keep em down, dead right there load for your shotgun, and if they won't bust your budget, go to the tungsten loads. I've shot Dead Coyote in T-shot, Federal Waterfowl tungsten loads in #2, and the Winchester Coyote loads. They are all good shells and will whack a coyote like Thor's hammer. The tungsten loads have alot of advantages over lead. Denser and heavier, they tend to pattern better at extreme ranges. Penetration is unparalled. I've shot yotes at ranges from 5yds to 70+ out of my Franchi I-12, shooting 3" shells. I've tried copper coated lead BB's and #4 Buck, they just don't compare. I'd rather have a load of #2 Federal Waterfowl tungsten anyday. It's a close race for me between the Federal and the Dead Coyote. Both are coyote crushers and the #2's have more pellets, but the T-shot is a little bigger. Still get 50+ pellets in 3" Dead Coyote. It's impressive how it holds together and penetrates at 65+ yds. Price is the ONLY drawback. I think they are worth it. I hunt thick brush here in Alabama, and a shotgun hit yote doesn't leave much of a blood trail. If you want to kill em and find em, try the tungsten stuff. And put an extra shot into em after they go down for insurance. Good luck with whatever you choose.
