Im new to calling in coyotes. I have been looking to get an entry level electronic caller. I was looking at the Primos Turbo Dogg. I was just wondering about the sound level, because I live in the open plains. I was also wondering if putting new sounds on costs money. Does anybody know where I can get the sounds for free.

I have a Turbo Dogg and the volume gets really loud in my opinion. I have never used or been around any Foxpro equipment but I couldn't imagine ever needing anything louder than the Turbo Dogg. I will warn you that the distance from the remote to the caller are not as advertised with my machine. The other day I lost comm with the caller at about 30 yards. This could just be my caller but I was not happy with it. I have been looking at a Foxpro Wildfire or Firestorm. The Wildfire is comparable in price to the Turbo Dogg.

About the sounds...I used google to find some free sounds and put on mine. I think it is possible to buy sounds also.

I have had my turbo dogg since last year though I haven't used it for predators I did do a check on reception up my alley way with line of sight at around 90 yds it was hit or miss. Any free calls can be loaded on it or you can purchase calls for it. I had some minaska sound files of coons fighting that I loaded just have to use the instructions from primos if there is any no name issues on files.

Its darn loud when you crank it up. Free sounds go check Varmint Als site. Tony Trebbe has some free sounds also so hit his site up also.
The biggest problem with the TD is distance & the remote loosing connection to the base consistantly, not good when you are out calling.
