2/21/26 Quick coyote pair.
With being extremely windy I set my alarm for 12am. First 2 sets were quiet but pretty windy. By now it’s about 5am. Third set I let Cagie Cotton run for about 3 minutes, nothing showed up. I let Foxpros female sore howls rip and the family group replied, fairly close. Wind was in my favor.
Let MFK whimpers run for couple minutes then right into Foxpros whimpers. After a few minutes of silence here she comes ! I saw her run & drop so I scanned for him. Bang flop down he goes !
Called a little more hoping for more but none showed. I scanned passed the male a few times and thought he was turning his head, that bright white spot. Experience over the years has shown that they can recover….sometimes. So I send it !
When I walked up on him I had shot him the second time right in the ass
