Rabbit-fart quiet .308 (no tax stamp required!).....yep, it's another airgun LOL!

Bust out those .308 molds. You can use a handpump that looks like a bicycle pump on steroids to fill it with the surrounding air. No powder, primers, or shells to mess with, either. Pretty independent set-up, huh?

I want mine in 7mm for the extra BC (and I've just always wanted a 7mm air rifle....until recently no one had one that I knew of).

Pretty neat, a neighbor would never know what was going on even in the suburbs.

Wonder how a rabbit fart compares with a parakeet fart? Couldn’t resist, sorry. Don

Unless air-gunners use a different caliber chart than the rest of us, that is the smallest .308 cartridge I've ever seen.

Am I missing something?

Umm, I am no air-gunner, but air guns do not use cartridges, just the bullet.

How much does Doug charge for one of those??

You guys will have to contact Doug, and see what he has to say about availability/price.

Again: it's an airgun. Not a .308 cartridge.....it's a .308 caliber boolit and only a .308 caliber boolit being propelled by the air around you (free propellant!). No need for powder, primer, or shells (cartridges). You can load the boolit the moment it cools from casting, step out on the back 40 and shoot the 100yard target, and immediately know the results of that boolit design before casting a couple dozen/hundred.

Now that is highly accurate shooting on the CHEAP.....no need to rush to the store when ammo is finally in stock. Make your own!

The difference is a matter of elevation......lol!

OK I'll bite, the clip shows 230FPE (foot pounds of energy)what does that equate into FPS? and what kind of accurate range do you get? what is the grain of bullet you are shooting. A .30 cal bullet is heavy and I would guess the trajectory would be akin to a rainbow when stretching out there a ways.

I shoot a .25 caliber pre-charged pneumatic airgun and really enjoy it. While I limit myself to nothing larger than raccoon it puts the hammer down with very little noise. At 900 fps it generates nearly 50 fpe. Squirrels and rabbits don't know what hit them. With raccoon I generally go for a head shot. The rifle is incredibly accurate out to about 75 yards. I'd love to own a .357, or a .308, but I'm happy with my Marauder .25 cal. It's inexpensive to practice with and I carry a 4500psi air tank to charge the gun. If you've never given airgun hunting a try you don't know what you're missing. I think it has made my firearm hunting that much better. You learn to get really close to your prey.

I have actually been researching the Marauder, I have a spring piston and I know it doesn't hold a candle to a PCP. The Marauder has very good reviews everywhere I check, I see one in my future.

Well, given something like a 130grain HP, you're looking at right about 900fps. Good airguns are MOA/sub-MOA guns. The trajectory.....you will want a rangefinder, and a mil-dot/ballistic hash tag-type reticle for extended ranges. Tofazfou had no trouble hitting 12oz cans at 200yards the first time out with his 7mm build (shown elsewhere on this forum).

Awesome I'm sold. I have done a little research on PCPs and was thinking of starting out with the Marauder in .25cal

While the .25 Marauder is reputed to be once of Crosmans' top offerings......if it is something like the .308 shown above that you are after, you would probably do better to start out with an AirForce Condor in .25 instead. Very modular design, that can be modified by Doug to match the performance of the above .308 With a .25 AirForce Condor shooting slugs (Marauders aren't up to shooting slugs, and are better off with pellets), you are looking at a 100+fpe gun. Check out TalonTunes for a ready-to-go powerhouse of a .25 Condor.

With a 100+ fpe air gun being fed via scuba tank, what would be the largest target(with 4 legs) would you be comfortable taking on at say 100yds?
