raccoon sounds

I was picking out sounds for my spitfire and added a raccoon
Distress. I'm used to 4 sounds so I had a tough time picking
24. Any chance of calling a coon in on a slow fox night?
There were fox vocalizations too but I wasn't sure
How well they work so I stuck with distress sounds.

I've called coon in before using the dying rabbit sound on a hand call. E-callers are only legal for coyotes down here. Word used to be that they would respond to waterbird in distress sounds, too.

Using the coon sounds you can call coons in all day long if you know the holes they are using in the trees. We set up on the back side of the hole so when the coon comes out he can not see us and has to come all the way out of the hole and around the tree to see what the noise is all about. We use a bunch of the foxpro coon sounds and you can absolutely wack em with the right set ups. Better have someone with a shotgun though because if you miss with a rifle I have saw them come out of the tree and straight toward us and the shotgun man usually cleans them up.. It is fun though. If you get down on a river bottom that is full of coons it can be real fun...

wow thanks for the info. Sounds like fun. I'm guessing you do this mostly at night? I've got one of those nite lite coon lights. Might have to give it a try.

Screaming Grey Fox is a real killer sound, and the Coyote and Foxfight is good, especially mixed with a little fox distress and coyote pup distress.
