Yep I'd say bed and make sure the barrel channel is clear.

Some handloading or different factory ammo should be tried.

Twist is 1/10.

My house is so stuffed to the gills with three boys that I don't really have the roomn to reload. I sure wish I did cause payimng for all this amnmno is gettimng mne really sick with the amnoumnt of mnomney it is costinmg. If the two nmew boxes I have comnimng this week domn't do it I'mn goimng to sell the rifle anmd get a Savage.
 
I agree on trying a little heavier bullet. For some reason none of the 4 .243/6mm rifles I have had would shoot bullets lighter than 70 grains well. And, I had to go to a Nosler in the 70 grain weight, rather that using the 75 grain Vmax that I wanted to use. I had to go up to the next weight in Vmax before my rifles would group well enough for my purposes (under 3/4" at 100 yards). But, the 70 grain Nosler BT has worked well. Perhaps it has a harder and/or thicker jacket and can be gripped by the rifling better. But, for whatever reason, it groups better in all my rifles.

Do you also use J-B abrasive bore cleaner to get out your copper? Do you ever get it all out...ie...rag with solvet no longer blue when you have let the solvent solve a while inside the barrell?



I just use the foam cleaner and let it sit over night. It usually takes two applications to get it "really clean".
