Ranger 4X4 what tires

+1 on the bfg a/t . by the way the newest version of this tire comes with a warranty on getting stuck it says if you get stuck they will send a tow rig to pull you out at thier expence. i believe that is how it reads but you better check the website

BFG All Terrain KO. Great wear, nice ride, but tons of traction.

Stay away from the super swampers, while they are great off road, they suck on the road, even scarey at times when the roads are wet! Michelins are exspensive but they are top of the line and will last a long time! I currently have Cooper STT, so far so good!

I've never had problems. Unless you count the fact that they aren't a high-mileage tire.

Oatsayo IronWorker,
Did you end up with any tires? What did you get?

I have a set of Dunlop AT-20s that have 10,000 miles on them. Ill give you a fantastic deal if you want 'em They are 265-65 R-17

Got pro comps on the xterra and on the pickup. Regular ol a/t's on the xterra and a/t xtreme on the pickup. Really likeing these tires. Good milage good traction on and off road.

yes I have Pro-comps on my 4Runner too. Thats why I have the Dunlops. Needed more traction in the snow.

Sounds like you made a good choice.

BFG All Terrains, you need to rotate these tires every 4000-5000 miles to get the most wear out of them. They unclug from mud and dig into the sand better than any other tire I tried.

They will also knock a hole in your pocket book, but are worth the money.

I love my Mickey Thompson baja claws for mud and snow. They are ok on the highway . I have them on my jeep wrangler and dont use it for an every day driver but they have been on there for about 5000 miles and have done awesome. They were not cheap though

Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ's are what I have on my 07 Tundra. So far they have worked great. They work great offroad. When we were getting Christmas trees this year I went up a rocky, dug out rutted road with no problems. The Toyota following hot on my heels (with BFG's AT's) (up to that point) took about five minutes longer to get through that section and he was pushing it more than me. The snow we just had in the NW really made me happy with this tire purchase. They do collect rocks and have some road noise, but I think with how they are built - 3 ply sidewalls, load range E, that I won't have any of the worrys that the BFG guys have. Good luck in your tire quest.
