Ratings not so rosy for O'Donnell variety show

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - A mere 5 million viewers tuned in Friday for the 8 p.m. bow of Rosie O'Donnell's variety show, "Rosie Live," on NBC. The show has been dropped from the network's schedule.

Among those making appearances on the hourlong program -- conceived as a throwback to such series as "The Carol Burnett Show" -- were Alanis Morissette, Alec Baldwin, Clay Aiken, Ne-Yo and Liza Minnelli. It earned a 1.2 preliminary rating among adults 18-49.

During the weekend, O'Donnell, a former cohost of "The View," wrote on her blog that the low ratings and bad reviews meant that NBC would not pick up the series.

Everyone has the right to be ugly, but she abused the privilege

The cream rises to the top,so does the scum.

There are only two things I hate about her-her face.

She'd steal the straw from her mothers kennel.

She's so fat she has the only limo in town with stretch marks.

And, she's a prime example of why brothers and sisters shouldn't marry.

So, where/how does she get all these 'second chances'?

This is getting like finding support for a $34BILLION check to the BIG THREE auto makers who had a hand in this wonderful deal that resulted in people being paid to do NOTHING!

Makes me recall the old days when in DEBATE Class in l962, I had to argue the virtues of the Union Shop and the practice of "feather bedding". They did'nt have much of anything like that down @ Ft. Benning in The Infantry School!

But I'm not the slightest bit worried as I have BO on my side/armpit now!
