RAV mode

When RAV is turned on, is the video recording whenever the thermal is on? And does it only save a video when it feels the recoil?

I had a NV scope with RAV once, but I don't know if they all work the same. The one I had, you not only had to turn on the RAV function on the scope, but you also had to hit record to make it work (I think this is the mistake most people made when complaining it didn't work). The scope would be recording the whole time, but wouldn't save anything until the recoil of the shot. It would then save the 30 seconds before the shot, and an adjustable amount of time after the shot. The few times I used it it, it did work. The only thing I didn't like about it was the longest clip option after the shot was I think 30 seconds and the clip before was not adjustable.

Thanks for your explanation Wolverine, I have not been able to record anything and just for the reason you stated. Makes sense now, Duhhh, you have to turn it on!:giggle:

IIRC you are correct, when on, recording is on but not saved. Saved is a while before the shot and time caries after the shot. Rattler after shot is maybe 30 sec. Bolt is about a minute - way longer than needed. Both continue the save if several shots in succession during original save time - just extends the save time.

Yeah, you're not alone. Took me a while and several YT videos before I figured out what I was doing wrong.
