rcbs dies vs. lee dies (shoulda went with rcbs)

If I get time tomorrow I`ll make you another seater plug for that die. One that will work better for the Hornady`s.
 
Rcbs is great for the press and all the extra's ..but when it come to dies..Redding is the best - hands down...Try some - you will never look back.
 
You dont need a neck sizer die just set your full length die up to size the neck only. RCBS customer service has always been geat. Just recently I bought a new set of 7mm rum dies and the sizing die was for a 300 rum. I called them and they sent me a new die no questions asked. They didnt ask for a reciept of anything. I also like the rcbs box better than lee they take up less room. I like the redding dies but I have broke more of the decapping pins than any of my other dies. Plus redding is more expensive. Just buy rcbs you cant go wrong.
 
to get it stright, I love Lee collet neck sizer dies. As I have done in the past, if I was to get a new gun and the dies were available I would get a Lee collet neck die, a Redding body die and a Forester seater die. I have never had a problem with Lee customer service in 30yrs. The only problem I have had with a Lee product was when I tried to size Nickle Plated 30-30 brass and and they ate up the sizer bell. They replaced it no questions. That was the last time I ever tried to load NP rifle brass. Their push through bullet sizers are a god send. They can be ordered through Cus Sev in almost any cal.for about $30. I have sized jacketed .308 bullets to .300 for a 7.35 Itai. in one pass, 338's and .357 pistol bullets to .333 in one pass. PS: there is a trick that you can do with the collet neck die. As the die is actuated by the shell holder, if you put a washer on top of the shell holder, the amount of thickness of the washer will not be sized on the bottom of the neck. I do this with my 22Hor as I am only seating the bullets 1/8" into the neck.
 
I made a new seater plug for ya. No guarantees it will work for your 22-250, but I made one similar for my .223 Remington die that works good.I`ll try to swing into the Post Office tomorrow. Off topic but btw I asked a friend what he shoots in his 22-250 (didn`t ask but more than likely a 700 Rem.)and he said 52g Sierra BTHP Matchking over H380 and Winchester primers. Said he knows they`re not recommended for hunting but has taken truck loads of quarry with them.
Have you loaded anything and made them go bang yet????

EDIT to add : riccochet (sp) is more of a concern when using the matchkings....oops forgot to mention that and important to consider.

Thanks dog, and thank you hooked. Yes I loaded up ten or so a few days ago, 38.0 grains if h-380 and 50 grain v-maxes. Loaded up a few more with different powder charges, none of them really shot that well, so I'm gonna try some varget and some nosler bt's and maybe some of those you just suggested. Again thanks guys
