RCBS Hand Primer Issue

I've been using my RCBS hand primer since I started reloading a couple years ago. It has always seated a primer fully when the pull lever touched the main body. In other words when squeezed completely until contact is made.

Today after priming about 300 rounds for some reason I started getting that firm seated feeling with about a half inch between the handle and the body; but the primers are properly seated beyond flush with the case head. And it isn't the occasional piece, it is all of them.

I can't decide if this is a problem with the primer tool, problem with the brass, or no problem at all, just a situation that I haven't encountered yet.

If it matters I was working it pretty hard on some mixed 223 brass. Yes, I have now learned about crimped primers.

No problem. Different case, shell holder, slight difference somewhere, just squeeze until you feel the primer bottom out. Quit there, and check that it is flush, or slightly below flush. You don't want to crush the primer.

I have a piece of glass on my bench that I place every piece of brass on after I prime it. As long as it feels good when it seats and will set flat it is good to go.

the primer should seat in the bottom of the pocket, some pockets are deeper than others. as long as they are not proud of the case head, they are good to go.

Ok thanks for the input, I knew the primers were seating fully, just wanted to make sure there wasn't a problem I needed to address.
