RCBS Partner Single Stage Press Kit

I bought this kit at bass pro about 2 years ago... it's smaller (I think) than the rock chucker... but I've loaded about 500 9mm and about 700 223 on it... i moved over to a loadmaster about a year ago.

I don't like the little tub it dumps spent primers in, it spills everywhere, other than that its a great press to start out on.

It's a light weight all aluminum press. Doesn't even have the steel insert that the die screws into. I personally don't advise anyone to buy or start out with that press. I found it to be too light duty, less leverage than the RockChucker, and less feel. Only and only if that's all your budget can afford would I start out with a Partner press. It will load ammo but it's like driving a Pinto versus a Town Car or Vega versus an Impala. Not to put down anone's purchase but I just don't care for the Partner press. Bought one for a "partner" for my main press but quickly sold it and purchased a RockChucker.

My wife bought me the RCBS Partner Kit 20 years ago when we first got married. She barely put enough money together to even get it. Its all Ive used until last year. The bushings in the handle are getting real sloppy. It will load quality ammo. I have literally loaded thousands of rounds with mine.

I finally upgraded to a Rockchucker last year(another present from my wife!). It is a much better unit. There is no comparison between the leverage in them. If you can only afford a Partner press it will do the job. If you want a quality press you will only buy once in your lifetime, go with a Rockchucker.

Yup. Mine is almost 38 years old and had loaded many tens of thousands of rounds of ammo. Still works like it did when I bought it new. I bonded with that press so much over the years I think that you could match my DNA with it.
