RCBS trim pro powered trimmer?

I have a manual trimmer but doing about three thousand cases right now. Have been looking at the RCBS trim pro powered trimmer. They have a 50.00 rebate if you buy 300.00 of RCBS stuff. Trimmer is 269.95 and I should be able to find 30.05 worth of other stuff

. Anyone have one of these. Are they fast, easy to use or is there a better option other than cranking my manual trimmer. Don

Don't know if you like to do some rigging but when I do bulk trimming I just take the handle of the rcbs trimmer off and chuck up a drill. Just support the drill with something. Lock the speed down and go to town... It works pretty good...Jason

Poor man's power trimmer. I've used exactly this setup for decades.

The RCBS powered trimmer is agonizingly slow, it's so slow you can watch grass grow between cases being trimmed. I had one and sold it shortly after buying it. I could probably trim cases faster in my manual Wilson trimmer by hand... Did I mention it was slow?

The best powdered trimmer in the market is probably the Giraud.

If you have a drill give one of the WFT trimmers from Little Crow Gun Works a try, simple cheap and they work as good as anything.

I've used one for many years. I upgraded to the three way cutter head for all the .22 calibers, it trims, deburs inside and outside at the same time. It will trim a case about every 7 seconds. No sore wrist or fingers.

Look at the WFT. They are the only way to go if you have bulk brass to process. I have a few and my other trimmers collect dust. Just chuck it in a cheap drill press

Ditto on the 3-way heads. Only way to go for mass quantities of brass.

The very inexpensive Lee Trimmers are pretty fast when used in conjunction with a drill.

I love me some trim dies as well.

I've been wanting to order one of these. Are they cartridge specific?

I use one and also use the 3-way cutter for my 223 brass. I thought at first it was way to slow but all i think it is,is that for a few seconds you don't have anything to do. I will soon be adding the carbide cutter to the 3-way trimmer cause it does get dull but can be touched up good with a fine file.

Yup. And if you can find Trim Gauges, you can outfit yourself so that you cahnge from .223 to .270 in 30 seconds without having to adjust a single thing. Only way to fly!

I forgot to mention the Trim Gauges. I've got some of those too. I worked at a store that had one of the biggest sporting goods departments on the west slope of Colorado.
Left many a paycheck there!

Yep, RCBS power trimmer, 3 way cutter, and trim gauges will always be on my gun bench. Read the directions on how to set up the 3 way trimmer. I struggled for years, then recently opened and read the instructions. WOW, it is really easy to set one up!

They sell a little adapter to screw into you trimmer to hook up a plain power drill. Pretty sweet saves a ton of time and is like 15.00
