I'm looking for a good, yet reasonably priced chronograph for load development. I don't want to spend a fortune, just need it to work and be accurate, or really the better term would be consistent. Any suggestions?
I have had a Pact professional for over 15 yrs and only had to replace the sky screens due to sabot hits from my shotgun. Newer Pacts look even better. RR
Take a look at the shooting chrony beta model, thats what i have. no idea how much it cost (was a gift), but guessing reasonably priced (cheap ex-girl friend, lol)
I have a Shooting Chrony and hate it like the AIDs virus. Sometimes it reads what I would think is normal, and then with the same ammo it will just jump up 450 FPS (sorry no way my 308 is pushing 168's at 3200 fps). Then sometimes it will just stop reading for an hour.
I hear good things about Oehler, but it doesn't sound like that would be in your price range.

Ditto here... Returned mine and got a CED Millenium 2. It is much better. 'Nough said.
