I have a 700 I want to re barrel in the same cal. that it is now.
Looking for suggestions on who to contact to have it done.

Pac-Nor or for a lower price point,, Shaw..

I have three 700's with Pac-Nor barrels and they all shoot great..
One stop shopping and really good folks to deal with..

Good Luck

Stainless Steel, or CM barrel?

The shop down here on Lincoln Way is the local smith for gun work. Not sure what he would charge, but Id bet its around $50.
There is a Pac-Nor Rem Fit barrel/nut kit for the 700 that you could do yourself as well.

Pac-Nor. Have several and couldn't be happier. Very easy to deal with and the work has been top notch. Just tell them what you want and send them your barreled action and it will be back to you in 12-16 weeks depending on their current workload. Mine have all been shooters as well.
