Rebuild and New Build 6.8 SPC Uppers

I was not happy with my Spikes Tactical 6.8 SPC upper so I decided to rebuild it a few weeks ago. I replaced the upper receiver with a Mega forged receiver and installed a new YHM TJ hand guard. The build went together real nice and seems to be shooting pretty good. I used the original Walther LW50 barrel and had the Spikes bolt carrier group NB coated by WMD Guns.

I had already ordered the parts for another 6.8 SPC build so I got it finished also. Very similar.

Mega forged upper receiver
AR Performance 16" Melonite barrel ( Socom profile)
AR Performance Superbolt
Syrac Ordnance low profile adjustable gas block
Nitromet treated stainless gas tube
WMD Nickel Boron M16 bolt carrier
PRI Gas Buster charging handle
AR Vent (replaces the forward assist)
YHM Todd Jarret rifle length hand guard
YHM QD flash hider

I like it. I use suppressors on everything so all of my uppers are set up with the AR Vent. I think it helps to evacuate some of the residual blowback that migrates into the mag and ends up on the unfired rounds. I figure if gets rid of any blowback at all its better than nothing.
