Rechambering a CZ 527

Would it be possible to rechamber a CZ527 in 223 Remington to the new 22 Nosler. Could the CZ magazine accommodate the greater diameter cartridge?? Just a crazy thought.

Thanks,

Bill

Bill,

I have a CZ 527 6x6.8. What you'll need to do is swap to a 7.62x39 bottom metal and magazine, which will also require milling out the bottom of the receiver, which isn't a big deal.

I don't think you'll have issues with the rebated rim, but you might want to ask your smith what he thinks.

Good luck

Rebarrel yes. Straught rechambrr not easily. You could set the barrel back and do it. You cannot use the 223 magazine but a 7m62X39/Grendel should work.

I also have a takeoff barrel I'd sell cheap. It has about 50 rounds through it according to the guy I bought my donor rifle from.

You could have it set back and rechambered and not risk ruining your current barrel.

What barrel is it?
