I know you might have posted this before.
But can you shoot with a 3006 or a 350 legend with the super hogster.

What I can tell you is Bering uses the .308 as a recoil rating. In actuality, their recoil rating is 1000 G which according to Bering is almost 2x the recoil of a .308. As usual Bering attempts to under-promise and over-deliver. The following table gives some general recoil ratings. Based on this, and knowing the SH is safe well beyond a .308, I would have to assume a 30-06 should be OK. Use the chart and as long as it isn't significantly more recoil than a .308, it should be OK.

The iRay Rico also has a 1000 G recoil rating and they say their rating is 300 win./7mm mag so you could always use a rating similar to that since they both share a 1000 G recoil rating. In the chart if it starts getting higher than the mid-20s, I would probably not use it.

Big thing to keep in mind is actual weight of your rifle. Super lightweight hunting rifles like Remingtons mountain rifle will have significantly MORE recoil than say a Sendero or varmint contour rifle.

Great point as the weight, along with what it is mounted to, how hot the load is, if it is suppressed, and more are all factors.

Hi, I currently have a OWLNV-LRF mounted on a 308 Tikka T3X light stainless and it seems I can not hold zero. Is it possible that the recoil is to big/ strong for this scope???
Thank you in advance

I don't know much about that scope, but I doubt that your rifle has too much recoil. Check your bases, rings, and all that good stuff. If everything is nice and tight then it's probably something wrong with the scope.
