Recoil Lugs and Bottom Metal

I'm sure PTG & others makes a better hinge, but it's not going to make your rifle shoot better... Spend the extra money on trigger time.

Mines not broke, I am just building a custom gun, so I want all parts to be custom.

My lines are exactly along the lines of Bobtails, I want a custom gun and want the parts to be custom as well.

The $ of bottom metal and recoil lug are not that expensive. As said, I just wanted it to be custom to me.

Rob, thanks for pointing out the PG&T bottom metal, when I originally looked at their website I didn't see the hinged floor plate model only the ADL type. Thanks for the heads up.

What are some good products to consider?

Remington's action; the #1 platform for the rifle is "good enough", but the bottom floorplate (that doesn't factor in the mechanical system of firing) isn't "good enough"?

OK...

Edit: Look at the PT&G bolt handle, firing pin assymbly, bolt bushing, or better yet full one peice bolt, that would be much more bang for the buck. Or you can call BAT, Stiller, Nesika, etc for a "custom" part.

For recoil lugs, I have had good luck with the Holland from Brownells. You can probably buy one of these for less that a shop will charge you to surface grind your old one. Also, any of the custom recoil lugs are thicker than the factory recoil lug, even before surface grinding.
