Recording my own sounds to Fox Pro 532

The 532 with the PG1A adapter will only allow 30 seconds of sound to be stored in the unit. It's good to make the recording as long as you want and then go through it with Goldwave or another sound editing program to select the pieces/sections that you like the best. Get it down to 30 seconds with your editing software exactly how you like it and then record it onto the FoxPro. You can also listen to the sound with headphones throught he PG1A and then just push the record button when it gets to the portion you like. It will then stop after the 30 seconds and the FoxPro will automatically loop the sound for you. Hope that helps.

Here's a tip:
I recorded 17 of my own sounds from my hand calls, for the FX3. I was in my garage, right before my Idaho/Nevada hunt. They sounded good on the computer. But once cranked up on the FX3 horn speaker, I noticed an echo due to the acoustics of my garage.
I re-recorded them one night on my laptop, in the tent, in the middle of a sage desert. I re-downloaded them and they sounded a ton better.
Word to the wise...Record your sounds outside (with no background noises) or in a make-shift recording studio to reduce echo.
I'm now building a recording studio just for this purpose.

I did both. I recorded 17 of my own sounds with mouthcalls, but also downloaded 6 or 7 sounds from other free sites that I really like their sounds. They were MP3 files and I didn't need to touch them with Goldwave, just drag 'n drop and rename them.
One of the reasons that I record my own hand call sounds is...well I'm a hand caller. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Seriously though, I haven't found any good downloadable sounds that have the cadence and pauses in the recordings that I find highly effective. I basically closed my eyes and pictured being on stand. Though the FX3 can hold some really long sound clips, I recorded 60 second clips, to keep file size and download time small.
I plan on having my "TT" sound clips on my website and free for download and use, after I get the recording studio built.
