red x arms

im lookin at the AR's red x arms has and was wantin some input of how good of a rifle they was im jsut wantin to do a little coyote huntin and they are the cheapest i can find but i dont want a piece of junk

Mine should be at my house by wednesday or thursday, I'll post on here after I shoot mine. They have been real easy to deal with on the phone so far though!

Here is a range report from a week or so ago on my Red X upper. Hope this helps.
Range report on the 16in. spiral fluted bull barrel, with free float handgaurd.
Put a Burris 2x7 on a PEPR mount. With loaded 20 round p-mag weighs pretty close to 8 pounds.
Cold and windy here today but had to get out and try it out.
My first time to fire an AR so started out with 20 rounds of steel case 55 grain Monarch, from 25 yards. Shot about 4 inches low and all 20 rounds stayed in about a 3 inch group.
Switched to 55 grain Remington UMC and started working on the scope. Pulled together very well and and very quick. Moved back to 50 yards and tweeked for about 10 rounds and then headed to 100 yards. Moved it over a few clicks to the right and was very pleased with the results.
I am very pleased with the barrel and the way it shoots, I am very confident in being able to get sub moa groups at 100 yards with better bench set up, less wind and maybe some better ammo. My buddy wanted me to try it at 200 yards so we gave it a whirl and had about a 3 inch 3 shot group. I was very suprised with that in the wind.
Overall I couldn't be more happy with my Red X upper. Fit, finish, and functions great. Looks pretty sweet too. Got it to kill coyotes and am very confident in being able to do that out to 200 yards.
Shot about a 100 rounds and only had one that didn't go bang, was shooting a bunch of ammo I inherited from my brother and it is a mix of all kinds of stuff. With one round the bolt didn't close all the way. (didn't think about the FA until I already manually ejected the round)Put it back in and it went bang.
Sorry for the long post but wanted to let everyone know about Red X. Got a pic of my rifle and a 55 yard 10 shot group if anyone wants to see I can email and maybe someone can get it on here.

I'll be anxious to hear your range results. The 20" bull barrel would be the one I'd order.

Red x arms have been slammed on some other sites, but I'm not sure it this is based on actual facts or the snobbery of if it's not "Colt, DD, Noveske, or LMT it's got to be junk.

JTB that is what I noticed too, lot of people griping cause the cost was so low. The few guys that actually had them liked them and they were just lucky cause they bought a cheap upper.
I know nothing about machining or manufacturing an AR but the inside of my upper was clean and smooth.
Maybe I got lucky, but when I get ready to get another upper it will probably be another Red X.

Ya them arfcomers are ruff. Mention Kies or d tech over there and u probably will get some strange looks thru the screen.. Ill be ordering a red x in the next few days.

Does anyone have a shipping address for redxarms cant find it anywhere on their website is it a secret or something??? I left a voice mail this morning for them and they never returned it. They sent me an invoice for my upper, I want to mail in payment for my order, you would think they would be all over getting me their addrress so they can get paid????

Shot mine today, not on paper and with some cheap remanufactured ammo. Consistently hit the 7x10 inch gong 10 out of ten times at 200 yards with about a 15 mile/hr crosswind. I am very happy with my upper as of right now!
