Redumlicans are good for one thing..........

The great thing about America is you have all the tools to being successful at your feet. To some that is money, to others it is something else. Either way you have the ability to go out and get it for yourself! Its all up to you, so dont be mad at people who have done it before you. Use the resentment towards the rich to motivate you, if money is your goal. But do not complain of other people success or inheritance of money while you do nothing (or refuse to take the risk) to better your own life.

I don't care what nationality or political affiliation they happen to be as long as the wealth was acquired under the aforementioned conditions. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

If wealth is aquired through honest hard work by a Republican, then that's okay with you? Or, if a Republican aquires wealth that means he's automatically a crook? I find all this fascinating-looking into the murkiness of a liberal bedwetter's mind.

Thats the reply I was looking for. Congrats to you sir!!/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif So can we assume it isn't about repubs or dems but instead its really all about the elite rich and poor?

All Democrats(Socialists) and the RINOs (Socialists) are selling this country out. It is a matter of tweedle dum and tweedle dee. There is no difference but the media has brainwashed the public into thinking there is. Those in control of both parties are the same people with the same agenda.

Do you have a problem with "elite rich" Democrats or just the Republicans oh DaddyMarx? Is it bad to become elite rich through one's hard work in private free enterprise and not through power gained by being involved in government and voting oneself wealth at taxpayer's expense? For once, can we have straight answers to these simple questions? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

You will never get a straight answer from a TROLL take a clue put him on ignore.

That means so much coming from the likes of you 17ack and a double thank you for the "Ignore". /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif Of course we both know that isn't the case now don't we?

daddyrabbit, do you have any interest in this forum aside from insulting conservatives & republicans? I really haven't seen much else come from you.

Actually Stu, I haven't seen much else come from you except to insult Democrats on this forum or otherwise. Would you like me better if I came out and stumped for the repubs?

I'd like it better if you actually discussed ideas, policies & such, rather than simply insulting people & attempting to agitate members.

After years of this kind of treatment for Dems and Libs, when someone applies the same treatment to the GOP it becomes wrong. Not only have the Dems been the target of all kinds of insults and lies but if anyone points out the truth they face the wrath of the PM swarm. Even moderates and independents are jumped on because they have a different view than the more vocal posters here. So if you are going to clean up this forum I hope you apply the rules to all sides of the issue.

I gotta tell ya, I'm using the 'ignore user' tag & to be honest, I'm missing the controversial discussions & name calling that goes on. I find it very entertaining & look forward to who is calling who what. A lot of this stuff is entertaining to me. I'm very close to taking the 'ignore this user tag' off so as to get back to the show.
Don't have to agree with any of this stuff but I believe I can decide that. Mostly reads like someone who stirs us up & is having a lot of fun doing so.
Sometimes I'm guilty of this too.
I still don't like LIBS & whatever they stand for.

DaddyRabbit, was it Ok when the Democrat minority did it to the Republicans just 2-3 years ago? Or are they somehow exempt from your standards?

If it was OK when the Dems obstructed everything in Congress, then turnabout is fair play. You can't have it both ways.

Wasn’t it a couple of years ago that the GOP was going ballistic over the very idea a filibuster? Wasn’t it the GOP that was threatening with a nuclear option? Doesn’t it make their current use of filibuster seem a little hypocritical?

Eric Lotke calls the obstruction a “deliberate strategy.” He observes that the congressional Republicans block legislation, then blame the Democrats for getting nothing done. “It’s like mugging the postman and then complaining that the mail isn’t delivered on time.”

The original basis of this thread is somewhat misleading, if I am not mistaken.

The table shows the increase of these types of votes, but then tries to implt that the increase is strictly due to Reblicans, while in fact, Demacrats were in power during much of that time.

The "projection" is nothing more than a hypothetical. Like when a baseball player is "on track" to hit a 150 home runs in May, but never even hits 50.

What for? He said he's going to use the ignore button. Didn't even name the user he's going to use it on, unless you think the tag fits. If it does, don't you think it reflects on how you're behaved here?

Hey, I've got a great idea, lets change the name from "Church of the painful truth" to "the republican dog house"?? For your information I've refrained from personal name calling "unlike" your loyal followers.

Got news for ya: I'm not a republican. I'm [beeep] sure not a liberal, but I'm not exactly a conservative, either. What I have done in here is pounded on laws, ideas & policies that run contrary to our constitution & BOR, are anathema to what this country is supposed to be.

I've said this many times, I don't care what party you are, whether you're a liberal, conservative or something else. If you want to stand up for your ideas & values do it. Just be reasonably civil about it.

I have not seen you do that. From you I've seen insult, slander, efforts to deliberately antagonize anyone you see as being to the political right, sounding very much like a hard left democrat while claiming you're not.

maybe you are, maybe not. Dunno. You don't answer direct questions placed to you by other members, don't stand up for anything, simply rail against the GOP, conservatives & oil companies without providing anything of substance.

I don't care if you're a lefty dem or not. I just think if you are you can say so. So most others here aren't? That just means you have plenty to debate. But it's hard to discuss issues, policy, have any sort of debate if you won't actually talk about them.

LMAO, whatever!! Umm, whom did you vote for in the last 2 elections /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif? The fact is you're merely embarrassed of being a republican nowadays, you know it and I know it and the last thing you want is for someone to rub your nose in it. Its not substance you're after Stu.

Wrong answer, but thanks for playing. It's true that I tend to vote for republicans more, which is the result of having to choose between bad & worse. I have not been a republican for many years.

People of the left generally have a hard time with this. They seem to lack distinction. If you're not a lib, then you're a conservative & nothing else is possible. People on the right tend to have the same problem in reverse.

Most folks see only 2 boxes & you must fit in one or the other. The notion that something entirely different may be possible escapes them.

I usually do not agree with the concept of distancing myself from my enemies.I believe in the adage "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer".But,I do think Daddyrabid will be the first entry on my ignore list.

+1 for Stu. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif
