i want to try to hunt in the timber with a shot gun so i have been thinking about a reflex sight but was not sure if anyone could give me advise on witch one to get around 100 150 dollars.... just not sure if anything that cheap will really hold up to a 12 gauge recoil....
thanks guys

I have both types. It will hold up better than any reflex on a shotgun at that price point and will get the job done, but no it's not a completely open reflex sight. That's why I mounted it as far forward on the reciever as possible, it only has one clamp/mounting point which allows for that.

I bought a Sightmark Sure Shot Reflex for my Weatherby PA59 for 59.99 at Cabelas and I love it. Its really light and has 4 reticle options. Only thing i dont like is you have to use the provided allen wrench for sight adjustment so dont lose it

I'm on my second cheap Sightmark, mounted on a WASR. The problem with cheaper ones is the rheostat that controls the brightness of the dot, gets loose and eventually fails.

I have an Eotech on mine and love it. Not near your budget though. I jacked around with cheap stuff on my 12 gauge for too many years. Not a reflex sight, but I would look at the Vortex Sparc and Spitfire(sp?) or whatever it is called. Alot cheaper than an Eotech and would hold up better. The Burris speedbead is suppose to be decent. Good luck.
