Reloader 26 load information

I hear wild catters, long rangers, and others loving 26. BUT I can't find ANY information on it. I read it is faster than 22 then I read it is slower than 25. All my looking I think I remember hearing from a factory source it is slower than 25 and faster than 33.
All that said I have a few pounds I want to try in my 8mm RM, it is a blown-out 375 H&H case. Does anyone have or know where there is some loading Information. I have also read 30/06 case-based shells benefit from it too. Please point me in the right direction.

I use more RL26 than probably just about all other powders combined. It is slower than RL25 but not nearly as slow as RL33. It's real close to H1000 but a tick faster and not as temp stable but few powders are.

When you say 8mm RM does that mean 8mm Rem mag or something else? If it does and you tell what bullet you plan to shoot I can run it through QL and give you range or if it's even a good choice.

RL26 is one of those powders that works in a wide range of case sizes from 243/Creedmoor size cases up to the RUM size cases and just about everything in between and often is the top velocity producer in many of them which is probably why it's one of the powders considered as unobtanium so if you've got a few pounds of it, you have gold in a bottle.

Yes it is an 8mm rem, Mag.
Rem 700 1 x10 24 inch factory barrel.
I shoot a 200 gr tsp Barnes and a Sierra 220.
I tried h1000 but ran in to over presser sign about mid load range.

R26 may well work in the 6mm-06. I worked up a load for a 270WW and 150’s. It gave over book velocities with excellent accuracy. Speed was encroaching on 7 mag.

Would you say it more stable in warmer or colder temps. If warmer, what temp range did you see the most deviation?

I use it in my 6-284. I never shoot it in the warm weather above 60 degrees. It’s a coyote only setup. My velocity stays the same as far as I can tell. I would put out a call out for someone with Quickload. That’s what I did when I developed my load. Good luck! And be ready to be amazed. While loading with safety first.

It is an excellent powder in the 6.5SAUM and 300WM/PRC. I e-mailed berger for load information on my 300WM and they hooked me up. Might be an option for you.
