Reloader 7 and 10x

Ive circled back around to shooting my 6.8spc a lot. I have plenty of AA2200 and H322 but the speed isnt there with the 90s Ive read where some people really like Re7 and Re10x with the lighter pills. My question is how does Re7 and 10 meter from a powder measure. Ive read they are extruded. Are the kernals small like H322 and Benchmark or large like H4895 or even Varget?
Im trying to find a good powder for lighter bullets that meters well. Ive thought about trying CFE BLK but if there is something better ill use it. Thanks

10x is shorter kernels and flows like a dream through the powder measure. I am currently out but have a recipe for 34 grain hp’s in a 223 that are a terror on a prairie dog town! I throw charges with an RCBS measure for this load and it produces very consistent numbers.

I use both 2200 and Reloader 10X on the .223 loads, but. If switching for a powders on loading the 6.8spc. I would go for the AA2230/aka/hodgdon ramshot X-terminator for the performance you wanting in that cartridge .
.

10X is better for a 90gr. I would assume a Barnes? The 80gr I have no experience with. Not really a suggestion for you, but I have used 8208 with a couple different rounds. Velocity was good with it.
You ask about RE7 well it is ok. Metering not bad. I found it to be pretty good in the 30-30 too. Velocity was a smigeon slower but accuracy was alright. Now of course all this depends on your barrel and twist rate.
As you know the twist rates for the 6.8 have been screwed up along with leade for chambers.
I haven't even thought about going light in years. The 120gr STS shot so well and I have taken a lot of hogs with that round. Since I don't care about fur, I use the round for whatever.
If you push AA2200 to max,, then watch pressure! This is in hot weather. Night maybe ok . I switched to mag pistol primers and everything settled. I switched to 8208 and it was better. Texas can get hot, and there isn't really a reason to push the envelope. Just some FYI.

I have plenty of X-terminator and even Tac. I would they are too slow for light bullets in the 6.8 SPC. It needs something in the H4198 or CFE BLK speed

I recently got away from H322 and went to reloader 7 and the SPEED IS REAL! 29 grains of H322 with 90g gold dots was getting 2685 fps from my 16" barrel and 29g of RL7 is 2850 fps. The SD isn't as good as it was with H322 but its manageable for a bullet I won't use past 300 yards. I tried CFEBLK because it showed high speeds in hodgdons current load data too and it had an extreme spread over 130 fps.

The CFE showed lower pressures, so that caught my eye.
But like you said the extreme spread was quite high.
( Info from others)
So,,, I passed on the powder. Too add to that prices have kept me from experimenting like I used to do.
Coyote-Conquest What bullet you going with?
I have looked into the Boutique bunch, but hammer bullets, CEB & Lehigh are just too much for right now.

I have a bunch of 90gr Gold Dots and 90gr Speer TNTs that I would like to shoot.
